about George Floyd’s death and community response
Hello All –
Some people in Unity in the Heart have asked for a safe place to join together to share, talk and pray about George Floyd’s death and the community response.
During this time of COVID-19, we are offering a Zoom Healing Circle on Saturday, May 30, at 10 am to share our thoughts, feelings, and concerns regarding George Floyd’s death on Monday, May 25 in Minneapolis.
You can join a Zoom gathering by computer, smartphone or any telephone.

What is a Healing Circle?
"If it touches the heart, if it helps guide us on our path, it’s a Healing Circle"
A Healing Circle in simple words is a safe haven where people can find a place where they can make their opinions and experiences heard without fear and remorse. When undergoing an ordeal such as traumatic death and other surrounding events, the importance of sharing and outpouring what is going on through one’s mind can’t be understated.
A Healing Circle is also a place where people can find respite. With an open mind and heart full of kindness, the members of a Healing circle actively contribute to the process of universal healing, helping not only themselves but everyone around them. They talk, pour their heart out, and take help of their inner guide to move further into their individual journeys. We will talk about the importance of Love and Care, and how we can heal any distressing situation, given sufficient time. Healing Circles are a manifestation of that Love and Care; a place where kindness and humanity meet each other and exchange thoughts.
Warren and I participated in a Healing Circle after the Philando Castile death near home our home on July 6, 2016. It gave us a safe community space to share and grieve together.
